As the characters move closer to the desert, their newest traveling companion, Arvandar, begins to show signs of tension. Most are oblivious to his behavior, except Reollyn. Arvandar's memory still has not returned but we find out he's not forgotten everything. He is feeling really uneasy about entering the desert and the appearance of the hawk is no help! Will the screeching of the hawk, "Ke-eeeee-ar!" trigger more memories? Will we find out what he's running from? Will the elusive wolf, his protector, finally show himself?
Hooray! I have finally completed writing chapter 15! I took advantage of the blissful surroundings of a quiet house for a few hours! I have been so busy over the last year that I got side tracked. My life took on a slight detour from writing, I am sad to say, and I became involved in the fitness side of things. I had been trying to develop my Beachbody business, to no avail! My life was consumed with teaching, planning, running, coaching, parenting and Beachbody! I had no time or energy left over for anything else, let alone sleep. The funny thing, during this short bout of writing inactivity, it made me realize what I truly loved (and missed) doing....writing! Throughout the year it kept niggling at me that I hadn't written or even attempted to write, other than my weekly news articles for the Vermilion Voice and Vermilion Standard. I had a novel to finish and that is what ultimately lead me to the decision I eventually made. I then cleaned out the spare bedroom and turned it into a nice, cozy writing room. It just feels right. Now, all I have to do is begin making it a routine to sit down and write every day. The writing is slowly coming, not every day as the much needed breather of holidays created some interference. I have dug out my notes (thank God that I have them) and re-read a few chapters and am now working on Chapter 15! Now, I need to find the right time, quiet (interruption free) time, to develop my novel. Here's to progress and the completion of Chapter 15 before the end of summer!!
