During her life she has been blessed to live and travel to many places throughout North America, the Caribbean and a few locations in Italy. She had an amazing opportunity to visit Disneyland to watch her daughter and her dance group perform for the ABC Christmas Parade in November 2012.
Her passion for running continues to be a focal point in her life. Over the last 14 years she set goals to run 5K, 8K, 10K and half & full marathons. In August of 2016, a dream of a lifetime finally came true....she participated in a full marathon, in the Edmonton Marathon. It was a beautiful day, she couldn't have asked for a better one as she lined up downtown by the Shaw Conference Centre at 7:00 a.m. The race was long but the ambiance of the day, the spectators, volunteers and police officers made it into an incredible experience!! She completed the race in 4:27:41, beating Oprah Winfrey's personal best! Although she did not qualify for the Boston Marathon, she was proud of crossing the finish line with a final burst of energy!
