Wrote two pages of this chapter before 8:00 a.m. this morning. I am hoping to get into a routine and do this every morning. I seem
Working on chapter 9 of my fantasy fiction novel, The Legend of the Stone & the Embryo.
The vision meeting with my account manager at FriesenPress went great! We hashed out many things: cover art specs, inside specs, book category, target audience, keywords, price, and much more. My next venture is to get a photo of myself....that should be fun! Can't remember the last time I was at the front and center of a photo shoot!!! Guess that means I'll need to find something fantastic to wear. That part should be fun!!! It will take about 4 weeks to reach the next step on my book publishing. It will be hard to sit and wait.
What's My Color is a book about an impressionable but independent girl struggling with the opinions of others only to find refuge in the "guy in the glass".
I am currently working on my "About Book" and About Author" sections for my children's book. Hopefully I will have that completed and edited sometime today.
Today I am working on the dedication for my children's book. I want it to be just right and reflect the message that my book is trying to portray.
Well, the images took a few days to get scanned. Grrrr!!!! I picked them up today and included them in my manuscript. My manuscript and images are now officially at the publishers. I sure hope the scans were good enough...nothing beats the originals (which I don't want to send out to anyone)!!!! Now I just sit back and wait for my next set of instructions. This is so exciting!
I was fortunate enough to commission an awesome artist, Sahhara Heather, to draw the illustrations for my children's book, What's My Color. She did a fantastic job capturing the images of the main character, Bobbe Lynn. What beautiful faces she draws. I couldn't have asked for a better representation of the character I had envisioned for my book. Now I wait for the images to be scanned so that I can send them in with my manuscript to Friesen Press. It's the waiting game that drives me crazy!!!! I am crossing my fingers that the scans will turn out and that I will get them before the weekend is over. The sooner I can get the manuscript off the sooner the book will go into production. Wish me luck!
